| This is an original
Japanese artwork which carries a high sentimental value
to the owner. Since this piece is a 3D object, depth had
to be built within the framing package to ensure that
the artwork does not touch the inside surface of the
glazing. An Asian-inspired moulding was chosen for this
particular piece which matches the spaced custom-cut mat
board. Since the piece is an irreplaceable original, it
was sink-mounted as opposed to gluing it to the backing
board, doing so upholds conservation techniques. |
