Antique Miniature Tools

Framing Miniature Tools

These are a set of miniature tools which were an apprentice metalworker's project around the year 1937. As these were more than 74 years old, my customer opted for conservation framing, specially using UV filtering glazing.

Looking at the frame, one will wonder how the invisible mounting was done. Nope, no glue was ever used in mounting this project. Conservation mounting was achieved using polyester film - a strong yet transparent film which is the go-to material for "invisible" mounting.

Above photo shows the detail of the polyester film "invisible" mounting.

Now you see it. Now you don't!
