Framing a newsprint article |

|
Framing newsprint article |
| A customer brought in
an article about himself which was recently published in
a newspaper and a caricature of himself done by the same
author. Newsprints have a special requirement when
mounting since if done incorrectly, the prints on the
back of the paper will be visible from the front. We
avoid this by mounting the newsprint on a dark
(preferably black) foam core or mat board. For this
particular item, 2 mat openings were required, one for
the newsprint and the other for the caricature. A
neutral coloured mat was chosen as this choice will work
for both the shade of the newsprint and the pale white
paper that the caricature was drawn in. A simple dark
brown moulding was chosen to complement the
presentation, not too fancy moulding that may overpower
the display. Non-glare glass was used to glaze the frame
to prevent unnecessary reflection when people come and
read the newspaper article. A good example for framing a
newsprint article. |
