Framing an autographed drumskin |
| A drumskin autographed
by Dream Theater's drummer Mike Portnoy is
professionally framed first by mounting the drumskin to
the base matboard using multi-purpose mighty mounts.
These mounts are polycarbonate-plastic based, and
securely attach the object to the backing board. Four
mighty-mounts are arranged around the object to keep it
steady to ensure a fully reversible mounting. The
photograph is available in digital form so it was safe
to stick it permanently to foam-core and float mount it
over the matboard. A silver plaque that says "Mike
Portnoy - Dream Theater" completes the presentation.
Depth was created by using a suitable black spacer
moulding which blends perfectly with the jet black
matboard. A champagne-silver moulding was used to cap
the shadowbox to complete the framing package. |
